Since being established in 2002, our company has been driven by one goal: To maximize the safety of people in contact with machines. Our vision, shared with you, our partners and customers, is a world without serious accidents at work. To achieve this, we have been developing personal protection systems for 20 years, which have become the leading standard in many industries. Because they are safe, flexible, simple and extremely efficient to use.

Our founder Kurt Utler envisioned U-TECH as a laboratory for pioneering technologies. Now more than ever, we are curious, inventive and constantly searching for innovative solutions. Our service and consulting is extremely flexible, open and pragmatic. We are a family business that always ensures the well-being of the people we work with. HEIKE MUNRO

Heike Munro is managing director of U-TECH GmbH. After holding managerial positions at international companies and completing a master’s degree in Australia, the business economist started at U-TECH in 2012. In the family business founded by her father, strategic business development increasingly became the focus of her work. Marketing and sales have always been your passion!

KLAUS MOSCHNER

Klaus Moschner is Head of Technology and Development at U-TECH. The qualified engineer has many years of management experience in an international environment. He held leading positions in the mobile communications industry for over 20 years: He led global projects at Next Generation Mobile Networks (NGMN) and Motorola Solutions, where his focus was on the EMEA, North America and Asia regions. At U-TECH, the technology enthusiast drives the development of innovative systems for machine safety.

We are partners of Vision Zero. And so do our customers.

Vision Zero is a global campaign to improve occupational safety and health in the workplace. The campaign is based on the belief that all accidents, illnesses and injuries at work are preventable. U-TECH, as a Vision Zero partner, is committed to promoting the core values of this campaign: safety, health and well-being. When developing our systems, the focus is on people who come to work healthy in the morning, feel safe at work and return to their family safe and sound in the evening.

One death every fifteen seconds. Six thousand a day. Increasing costs for lost work time

According to the International Labor Organization (ILO), more than 2.3 million workers die every year as a result of occupational accidents or work-related illnesses (2017). To put this number in perspective, 167,000 people died in armed conflicts worldwide in 2015, according to the latest edition of the IISS Armed Conflict Survey. In addition to this staggering number, 313 million workplace accidents occur each year, resulting in extended absences from work.
